J. Antônio Cirino is a communicologist, quality manager, professor and researcher with more than a decade of experience in the health area. His journey began in 2009, and since then, he has been tirelessly dedicated to improving communication and management processes in healthcare.

 

His broad academic background is impressive. He holds a doctorate in Communication and Sociability from UFMG (Federal University of Minas Gerais) and has two postdoctoral degrees: one in Information and Communication at the Universitat de Barcelona, in Spain, and the other in Communication and Culture at UFRJ (Federal University of Rio de Janeiro).

 

In addition, J. Antônio Cirino is a master in Communication from UFG (Federal University of Goiás), specialist in Project Management from IPOG, Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma from FM2S, and graduated in Advertising from IESRIVER and in Marketing Management by UNIP.

 

His expertise is also reflected in his literary output. He is the author of the book "Gestão da Comunicação Hospitalar" (portuguese), which was translated into the international version "Management of Hospital Communication". In addition, he scientifically coordinated the "Hospital Manager Manual", volumes 1, 2, 3 and 4 of the Brazilian Federation of Hospitals (FBH), in Portuguese and in English. He is also the organizer of the work "Strategies for the Accreditation of Health Services" (portuguese).

 

J. Antônio Cirino's academic career includes his role as a professor at the National Accreditation Organization (ONA, Brazil) and as assistant editor of the Electronic Journal of Communication, Information and Innovation in Health - Reciis/Fiocruz. He is also a member of the Center for Studies in Communication, History and Health (NECHS) at PPGCOM/UFRJ and ICICT/Fiocruz. In addition, he was invited to be a researcher at CITEI - Center for Research in Technologies and Intermediate Studies in the field of Communication and Health at the University of Maia, in Portugal.

 

J. Antônio Cirino's dedication and commitment earned him international recognition. He was selected in 2021 as a Young Executive Health Leader by the International Hospital Federation (IHF), and is also a member of the IHF YEL Alumni and Ambassador of the Americas.
